Most bakers' racks will have a main shelf that is wider than the rest of the selves this is because it was classified as the working area for bakers. The remainder 3 or 4 shelves will probably be all the same width and were usually used for storing baking equipment. Many bakers would set these racks up against or near a wall with a window for opening and cooling the baked goods. You can also use them for displaying houseplants in a sunny window location in a different room other than the kitchen. Some racks are not free standing on the floor; some hang from the ceiling and are used as cookware racks and pot racks. Many are attached to the wall for dish racks or spice racks.
The metal with wood shelves and drawers are also another extremely popular bakers rack. Again, widely available in a multitude of colors. Many styles of bakers rack have also been made to perfectly fit into a corner, this way you do not lose any valuable space you have within your kitchen area. A great little assets to any home, especially since they can utilize some of that otherwise unused space. One might be concerned about the task of purchasing such an item as a bakers rack, but they need not be. You can find a great bakers rack to add to your home in almost any local store that sells even pots and pans. Because bakers racks have been growing in demand by the public, more stores are constantly stocking their supply of them. Even some of the local pharmacies have been known to have them, as well as some of the dollar store chains, and department stores. Seems as if everyone is in on the bakers rack phenomenon.
